The Gooey interface to Artificial Intelligibility was installed at the "Infrastructures of Digital Design" conference held at the Center for Research and Computing in the Arts at UCSD from January 31 to February 2, 2003.
To build on the extensive knowledge of architectural history already stored in its database, AI was outfitted with a kiosk for knowledge-entry, wherein conference participants could enter information about themselves or gossip about others. This was stored in real time and displayed as a projection - a map of the social infrastructures of the conference.
